Accio new episode! This time I had the pleasure of talking to the supervising sound editor of the second half of the Harry Potter franchise, James Mather. He was kind enough to make some time for me at his studio in Twickenham while I was over in London over the new year, and we talked about how he started his career, reflecting the changing tone of the Harry Potter films through the soundtrack, and Tom Cruise's feedback on the mission impossible films. The other week I had the pleasure of interviewing these talented people, Corin, Becky Sui Zhen and Casey Hartnett about music they composed for the audio-visual guide to the Art Gallery of New South Wales exhibition, Masters of Modern Art from the Hermitage. We talked about their individual careers as solo musicians as well as how they collaborated to create a piece of interpretive art controlled by the viewer.
